Reporting to Helpdesk Manager, the part-time IT Technician is responsible for being the first tier of support for our internal helpdesk by dispatching tickets, assisting in departmental projects, and facilitating the implementation of new hardware. This person will also play an integral role in managing an enterprise business network across three locations.
This is an opportunity for a candidate with a positive and helpful attitude to work closely with people across all teams and shared services within our company. The ideal candidate has a genuine interest and curiosity in agriculture, finance, and technology, and is ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced high-growth environment.
You will provide support for Acretrader's internal IT help desk, troubleshooting, and escalating issues when appropriate
You will maintain IT tools, systems, SOPs, and processes for current and future employees
You will offer technical assistance on the delivery, configuration, setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware, and software, updating inventory records
You will respond to queries via email, in person, Slack, etc.
You will configure computers for new employees
You will train staff in troubleshooting and diagnosing problems
You will run reports and analyze common complaints and problems
Assist with department projects, improvements, and initiatives
Assist with hardware deployment for new office space as needed
2+ years of professional experience as a helpdesk technician, technical support specialist, or similar role
Knowledge of maintenance for computer and/or network hardware
Progress toward or current degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar
A basic understanding of software administration
A basic understanding of networking hardware
A strong understanding of computer hardware
A desire for learning and constructive feedback
Ability to create clear, well-written process documentation
Legal authorization to work in the United States is a precondition to employment at AcreTrader.
