Reporting to the Senior Director of Owned and Earned Media, the Lead Copywriter is responsible for connecting with a wide audience to communicate our story through email content, script writing, and long-form, keyword-rich educational content. This person will play an integral role in working collaboratively within our marketing department to amplify our Acres team.
Acres is the most comprehensive, accurate, and useful mapping tool for land. There are over 50 million farmland owners in the world that require a better service to explore their land. That includes using satellite imagery to discover how the land has evolved, pricing land at market values through valuation algorithms, and exploring many layers of underlying agronomic information. Our team solves complex computer science problems, designs beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improves the accuracy of our data to set the industry standard for mapping.

Core Responsibilities:
Produce a wide variety of pieces from emails, ads, blogs, bylines, articles, video scripts, web copy, print collateral, social media posts, and more
Become a product and brand expert through ongoing education and research in order to provide relevant data points to tell a story and gain trust as an industry expert
Ensure each piece of content is properly optimized for SEO best practices while adhering to our brand guidelines
Partner with our marketing and business unit teams to identify content needs, keywords, and the impact of work
Prioritize projects and tasks on an ongoing basis to ensure we’re on track to meet deadlines
Help identify a team structure for our writers
Mentor and guide others within our organization to continuously improve their content
Accept feedback and revise pieces on an ongoing basis
Key Competencies:
3+ years of successful copywriting experience in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Robust portfolio of work that features a personable tone and broad scope of writing skills
Ability to translate complex information into easy-to-understand content in line with the tone of our company
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize a large workload
Ability to adapt, respond, and reallocate resources in a changing environment
Experience in marketing or familiarity with concepts/tactics involved with the work of a marketing team
Team and/or project management experience
Fayetteville, AR-based
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to/experience in agriculture, real estate, or investment industries
Experience with Asana and Semrush
Experience writing ad copy and email copy
Experience in or working with SEO, Google ad manager, and social media
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition to employment at AcreTrader
